Octomill inserts - Practical Machinist

Our current mill body uses square flat inserts and after 39 years the inserts no longer hit the same. I work in a maintenance shop, so not exactly hi tech. I asked our tool rep about a 4" replacement thinking the 8 sided insert would be great, and he came back with another square insert, but with positive geometry at least suggestion.
