The development of the angle grinder, also known as Flex, came from a cooperation between Ackermann + Schmitt (Flex-Elektrowerkzeuge ) and the abrasive manufacturer Klingspor, which developed the first synthetic resin-bonded cutting-off wheel for these high-speed machines and which was launched onto the market as the Kronenflex product.
